What a beautiful New Years Morning.  I treated myself to a walk around the hospital, and a breakfast from au bon pain.  Zoë is doing so well that they are going to try to do her labs every 12 hours!  Which is a big deal because she can keep more of her blood in her body.  She is also having the IV's in her hands removed, and her artiral line removed as I type this.

She has been fighting to stay a...wake, and has started moving with out showing too much pain.  I think that she is just sick and tiard of being sick and tiard. She is still so curious and just wants to keep her eyes open all the time.

She also may move to the oncology floor too today!  They are working on getting her a bedspace, and to work out
the details.

I have been reflecting this morning on just how blessed we are.  When Zoë was born she was born perfectly with out any afliction.  She had nearly 2 months of health before this cancer took over.  There are children here who have never had the chance of health.  They were born and rushed to intensive care even before their mother's could hold them.

Zoë's body knows what it is like to be healthy, and with great care her doctors will guide her back to perfect health.

My heart this morning goes out to those mothers who will never know what it is like to have a healthy baby, who cannot hold their child, and who will have to watch them struggle their entire lives.

Today is yet another wonderful day.
